For Maud&Marjorie‘s spring-summer 2020 collection, the guiding philosophy was clear: less is definitively more. The result — cheekily named SexShop — is nothing short of breathtaking: a lineup that proves just how powerful the bare minimum of fabric can be when it’s designed with this much confidence and intent.
The SexShop range includes several panty styles, a bodysuit, a garter belt, and two bra silhouettes — a triangle and a balconette. Fabric is used sparingly by design: what exists is a deliberate interplay of lace and slender straps of stretch elastic, leaving little to the imagination and everything to desire.
The lace, in particular, deserves special mention — the collection features the finest Calais lace, sourced from the French town long considered the world capital of luxury lace-making, and its delicacy and craftsmanship are unmistakable.
