Japanese-born, London-based designer Atsuko Kudo has spent over two decades doing something no one else has quite managed: elevating latex from fetishwear to the realm of genuine couture. Founded in 2000, inspired by Wong Kar-wai’s In the Mood for Love, the label has since dressed Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Rihanna, and Kim Kardashian — and every single piece remains entirely handmade in London.
The Love Collection is one of the brand’s most vividly expressive limited releases: several vivid, overtly sexy looks with a playful retro edge that feels equal parts pin-up and avant-garde.
The range is staggeringly varied in its imagination. A black-and-pink bra with matching black briefs featuring Atsuko Kudo’s signature latex lace print effect; a bullet bra and flirtatious knickers in saturated hot pink; a plunging polka-dot bodysuit; an open-cup bra; latex mini skirts and epaulettes; leggings with a provocative rear cutout; gold lace-up thigh-high boots; body harnesses; evening gowns; and even a semi-sheer latex trench coat. Wherever your imagination leads, the Love Collection has a piece to take you there.
