Merle Noir

The brand is named after its founder, a designer from the Netherlands. Before launching her own label, Merle Noir studied haute couture design at Artemis Fashion Academy, worked at Viktor & Rolf, and created costumes for the Dutch National Ballet.

Her ballet experience is most evident in the brand’s collections—Merle Noir lingerie is easy to imagine on a dancer gliding across the stage. Exquisite bralettes, panties, chemises, and bras are crafted from start to finish in the brand’s Amsterdam atelier. The label favors Italian silk and French lace.
