Jean Yu Lingerie

Jean Yu is a New York-based designer of Korean descent who grew up in Los Angeles. In 2002, she opened a boutique on Crosby Street to showcase her own line of women’s lingerie and apparel.

Regarded as one of the most compelling American designers, Jean Yu has collaborated with Balenciaga, Rag & Bone, Proenza Schouler, and Rick Owens. According to Yu, lingerie is just as essential to a look as outerwear. Her pieces are a striking example of contemporary New York style: minimalist cuts and the absence of prints only enhance their sensual appeal.
