The For Love & Lemons lingerie brand was founded by childhood friends Gillian Mahn and Laura Hall. A trip to Australia inspired the duo to create a women’s fashion label, guided by two signature moods: sweet, youthful playfulness and grown-up allure. The Summer 2017 SKIVVIES collection feels varied and genuinely engaging.
First up is the Constellation Bra. Those bright, textured, shimmering stars practically beg to be touched. The mix of powdery nude, soft pink, and silvery tones feels like gift wrap—in the best way. The bra is made from soft straps, so it isn’t designed to offer strong support for a fuller bust.
Sparkle Mesh—a semi-sheer mesh top and panties in black and powder—easily becomes the collection’s highlight. Modest yet unmistakably sexy, the simple cut paired with translucent fabric gives the look a magnetic appeal.
The Moonshadow set is less convincing. On paper, black lace with pastel panels and tiny ruffles should feel irresistibly romantic, but it lands more confusing than alluring. The panties read a bit old-fashioned and overly layered, as if two separate pieces are worn one over the other.
