A truly successful lingerie brand is built on desire—pieces you want to collect, fold into your drawers, and reach for again and again. That’s exactly what Agent Provocateur delivers today.
For Autumn/Winter 2017, the brand launched a fresh film-led campaign directed by Anton Corbijn, starring Elise Crombez and Magdalena Frackowiak, and introducing Abbie Fowler as the “cloakroom girl.” The campaign’s mood channels anticipation, seduction, and empowerment—very much the AP girl as we know her.
Lace, mesh, polka dots — Agent Provocateur has a talent for turning a few signature ingredients into a full narrative. A scatter of black dots across fine red mesh on the bra, briefs, and garter belt feels daring and graphic, while black trim softens the edge with a more delicate finish. That said, the sheer red bodysuit in the same story is less convincing: the cut can visually slope the shoulders and make the upper body appear broader than it is.
Sets with diamond-shaped inserts create a bold, high-energy look—openwork lace adds softness, but stays in service of the geometry. They feel made for a femme fatale mood, especially paired with a strong beauty look.
One of the collection’s most memorable details is the brief with ruched elastic at the back—sheer, cheeky, and undeniably sexy, perfect for an after-dark plan. The intricate Mila ensemble, with black semi-sheer lace and an ornate motif across the bust, pairs beautifully with a little black dress—and that unmistakable feeling of total confidence. By contrast, the Janie styles raise questions around print and fabric choice: they stand apart from the rest and feel slightly off-tone for the collection’s boudoir mood.
At its core, the message is clear: wear what makes you feel sexy, confident, and strong—and it’s hard to argue with that.
