Maya Hansen has done it again. The brand’s spring-summer 2020 lingerie and ready-to-wear collection, titled Arty Globetrotter, is a bold, cross-cultural journey spanning everything from Denmark to Mexico — and quite possibly the most eclectic, imaginative collection the brand has ever produced.
This wasn’t a project for designers alone. The vibrant lineup was brought to life through an extraordinary creative collaboration — textile experimenters, architects, sculptors, ceramicists, and master weavers all had a hand in shaping the final result. The outcome? Fantastical dresses, tops, and corsets crafted from the most unexpected materials, with a strong emphasis on upcycling and sustainable practice.
Arty Globetrotter is made of: latex reclaimed from children’s toys, repurposed fishing nets, Mexican felt, wool spun in Denmark, fragments of biodegradable plastic — and so much more. Each piece is a wearable work of art, rooted in a genuine commitment to conscious fashion. Fair warning: these are statement pieces for the truly bold, the unapologetically expressive, the ones who dress like no one else in the room.
