The new DSTM line arrives with an unmistakably extreme sensuality. The kimonos instantly draw the eye — teardrop cutouts at the back and textured sheer fabric reveal the female form in the most provocative way. The collection places a strong emphasis on pure color and body geometry, striking a compelling balance between femininity and a certain sharp, uncompromising edge.
The athletic Maya series works with deliberate geometry to guide the eye — drawing attention to the curves of the waist, hips, and chest with real precision. The panties and shorts deserve a special mention: the pattern-making is immaculate, the lines so perfectly calibrated that these pieces could confidently be called flawless.
That said, not every piece lands with equal success. The black long-sleeve top from the Chiron series reads as slightly undone — the sleeves run a touch too long, and a visible ribbed band at the waist disrupts the otherwise clean silhouette. The fabric quality, however, remains exceptional: the composition is predominantly wool and natural silk.
It is worth noting that DSTM’s pieces show best on a very specific body type — but for those they suit, they are absolutely worth it.
